How it all started…

Officially co-founded and incorporated in the Summer of 2008 by Shane Blanchett and Ian Allen after many years of hands-on professional experience supporting the Apple Macintosh platform within the local residential and business communities. Since it's inception, the company has grown rapidly and has taken residence in the Lighton Tower corporate office conveniently located in Overland Park, KS. MetroMacs continues to constantly keep up to date on the latest technology trends and the best Apple support solutions around. We love building relationships with other local area businesses and strategic partnerships in order to help provide an even higher level of service. Now going into our 7th year in business, we are well on our way! Our current offerings include a wide-range of Apple consulting services, managed service plans, training, monthly proactive support subscriptions, Mac OS X, Server and iOS MobileDevice Management and technical support; as well as Macintosh and iPhone hardware repairs. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the level of expertise you've tapped into working with MetroMacs. We know Mac hardware and software inside and out.

Our Philosophy

We believe patience is the key to an excellent support experience. And at MetroMacs, we have plenty of it. We pride ourselves on being able to explain difficult or confusing computer issues to people who don’t have a technical background. It’s okay if you don’t always understand your computer, but sometimes it's helpful to know what the cause of the problem was and the steps that were required to resolve it. We will let you know what we did and how we did it, in easy-to-understand language that helps you feel more confident about your Mac.

You can be comforted by the fact that we are a Mac shop first and foremost. We believe that by helping you understand what we know, we can grow stronger and more helpful. If we are doing our job, you should feel like you don't need us. But in reality, we are only a phone call away. We are not like some support companies that direct you to a voicemail box when you need support the most. And our phones are always answered during office hours by technicians. Non only that, we also maintain a real-time help desk system for our managed clients that prefer to relay urgent or non-urgent issues or projects to be completed during their next scheduled visit.

Creative Troubleshooting

There are some folks that choose to solve problems using a hard-to-follow manual or by spending hours researching Google. However, it takes certain skill sets and experience to troubleshoot problems that don’t fit the usual mold. We thrive on the challenge of the unusual. We will work to fix your problem and then move to maintain your Mac with a preventive plan to minimize issues down the road.

Lastly, if we don't have an immediate solution to your problem, we will leverage our resources and professional contacts to get to the bottom of it.
